I think my prediction made back in May of 2013 might actually come true! Can you imagine? The other day, all these “leaks” start coming out regarding the upcoming “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” film (and Michael Bay adaptation abomination.) First it was these model figurines that look like really up-scale action figures. Then, these grainy pictures of Shredder showed up looking like a walking Swiss Army Knife (like he’s supposed to.) And just now I saw this photo of a supposed older official movie poster concept.
I have been saying for the last few months now that the first trailer/teaser will make it to television during Super Bowl Sunday. We’ll know for sure in a few days whether I’m a freaking genius or not. Here’s my original post that I put on my Facebook wall back on May 10, 2013:
FYI I’m calling it now and I’m going to save this post on my desktop; THIS IS HOW THE TEASER TRAILER FOR BAY’S NINJA TURTLES WILL LOOK COME LATE DECEMBER: It will be dark or very low lit. There will be a large truck or 18-wheeler racing through a highway at night. Muttering and low-level chatter in the background. You will only see eyes of the “occupants” in the back of the truck. A handful of soldiers looking like a cross between Animal Control and SWAT will emerge form the truck with snake-handling poles used to remove the “animals” inside. The doors of the bed will open and the SWAT will have very nervous looks on their faces as they reach in with their snake-handling poles. Heavy footsteps will be heard… then one-by-one they will walk out of the truck wearing some kind of shackles and you will only see at most their shells and part of their faces.
